Friday – Matthew 6:9-15 – On Earth As It Is In Heaven
Did Jesus really mean this? Did Jesus really want us to pray, with faith and trust in the possibility, that God’s kingdom could come on earth as it is in heaven? Yes. God wants his kingdom of peace, justice and love to be enacted right here, right now. What would it mean for God’s kingdom to come more fully through you?
Prayer: O Heavenly God, who cares about what happens on earth as well as in heaven, help me to care and work so that your kingdom be experienced among all people on earth, and that all people would trust you for a place in your everlasting kingdom in heaven. I pray this in the name of our ever-living God, Jesus the Christ. Amen.
