Thursday – Psalm 148 – Your God Is Too Small
In 1961, J. B. Phillips wrote a book called “Your God is Too Small.” He described how we have limited God, making God “man-sized.” Consider the vision that is developing for you and the vision that’s developing for your church. Can it be achieved without God’s intervention or power? Then, your image of God is too small?
Prayer: Lord, help me not to limit your mission by my small thinking. Help me to see the unlimited capacity that is available through your presence and power. Help us in our congregation to expand our vision to see the great things that you wish to accomplish beyond our narrow vision, in the name
of our omnipotent God. Amen.
