Devotional: Tuesday – Acts 2:43-47 – Gathered Community of Disciples

When Jesus’ disciples band together in groups they become very effective as a community of faith. How do they relate? What do they do with their combined resources? What’s their purpose for being? Christianity began as a movement with little institutional structure. What can we learn from these early Christians?

Prayer: Loving God, thank you that as a band of Christians we can achieve so much for you. Help me to think beyond my own wants to your desires and the needs of others. Thank you for the many blessings in my life and for the ways I feel your presence, through the omnipresent God in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
